First, let me say THANKS to everyone at Comma Coffee for being so welcoming and supportive on the 13th. Lenny and I performed as a duo (both on acoustic guitars) to a really warm crowd response. Always nice to play for folks when they're really diggin' the tunes!

This Saturday we'll be sharing the Walden's stage with one of our favorite bands, THE KIMBERLY TRIP. They're on tour supporting their NEW ALBUM, so don't miss this chance to see them live!

After TKT's 7pm set, we'll be performing our LAST WALDEN'S APPEARANCE (with Kent Miura sitting in on percussion) for the foreseeable future. We have one more show scheduled (Sept. 1st at the Nevada Museum of Art), and then we're all going to take some time off from gigging.

As some of you know, Cap Stapp is currently undergoing some fairly intense medical treatment and is thus on the sick list and won't be performing for a while. Thanks to the everyone who've written and called to express support for Cap during this difficult time; it means a lot to Cap and all of us.

Lenny Supera is going to be really busy with a shift in his business life, but it's a really positive thing. He's the BOSS now! If you need pro photo (chem or digital) printing, processing, editing, etc., give Lenny and his staff a call at FAST PHOTO (775-827-5200 - 490 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502).

I (Todd South) might do some solo or semi-solo shows (depending on who's available to play), but I don't have anything booked. We'll see what happens. Joe Warmelink and I might due some stuff together with whoever else wants to have some fun. In the meantime I'm planning on recording a new solo project (my first in several years) which might be kind of fun. I might break my usual rule about only recording stuff I can actually perform live and do something ... strange. :)

Speaking of recording, we (Burning Peace) are going to take some time during this gigging hiatus to start work on a new album. I'm still trying to compile a decent follow-up to our first live disc, but we really want to do some new studio tracks. We haven't done that since "Over The Water" and I think it's about time.

At any rate, we'll miss seeing y'all from the stage for a while, but we've got all kinds of fun stuff planned for the future. Thanks for all your love, support and devotion: BURNING PEACE FANS ROCK!!!

We had a BLAST at our July 23rd Walden's showcase! Thanks to Karl Mirabella for starting off the night with his amazing brand of guitar wizardry. That man really knows how to apply a violin bow to a Les Paul and have it sound all, um, ROCK, and stuff! We saw all kinds of friends in the audience, including Jason & Amelia, Jenn & Tom, Tom & Terry, Frank & Vicki, Romy & her pal who's name I wish I could remember because he was such a cool guy, and a lot more names I should have written down. WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

Special note: Cap is a bit under the weather, so feel free to drop him a note and wish him a speedy recovery: cap@burningpeace.com. While Cap's convalescing, Joe, Lenny and I are going to do some acoustic sets for our next few shows, starting with Comma Coffee this Saturday!
