From the, "Starbucks really IS evil," department:

The Burning Peace show this Friday, 09/26, has been CANCELLED. The
store manager apparently forgot that this is "Street Vibrations"
weekend, and they have some related event starting Saturday morning.
Although she confirmed the booking with us nearly two weeks in advance,
she has now decided that she can't staff both days well enough to handle
the increased load.

HRRRRMPH!

I tried to explain to her that Walden's routinely handles much larger
crowds, serving a FULL food menu, with half the people she thinks she'll
need. She thinks I'm pullin' her leg. Whatever.

So, a big "I'm Sorry!" to all our friends in Carson City who were
looking forward to a Burning Peace party. We'll just have to wait
until Comma Coffee is again available for booking music.

Cap, Lenny and I will be at Walden's open mic on Saturday, and then
we're still on for the showcase at Walden's on October 10th. In
fact, we'll have our NEW BASSIST with us on the 10th!

Joe Warmelink is a man of many talents. He can sing, play guitar,
keyboards, bass, and for all we know he's a fun date and a helluva
dancer. We've known Joe for a few weeks but it wasn't until our
recent Caves expedition that we realized (a) Joe would be a great
addition to Burning Peace, and (b) Joe's interested in joining the
band.

If we don't see you at open mic, be sure to come out for the October 10th
show. We'll have Kent Miura opening, another act still to be named,
Burning Peace, and PAIGE to close the night! WHAT MORE COULD YOU WISH
FOR
?! Seriously, what. :)

Burning Peace is heading out on a ROAD TRIP! Ok, well, we're just driving to Carson City, but for us that counts as a major touring event!

We'll be at Starbucks Coffee, 3228 N. Carson Street, Friday, September 26th, playing a command performance for our small but very vocal Carson City fanclub.

The show starts at 7pm and we'll even have a special guest performer along for the ride. If you're in the Carson area this is your chance to see us without all that bothersome driving. :)

Thanks to everyone who made our recent show at Walden's a lot of fun. Special thanks to Spirit Wind, and of course to the South Family contingent. :)

We're looking to book some new venues in the coming months. We've also booked showcase dates at Walden's for October and November:

Friday, October 10
8:00pm - 11:00pm
Kent Miura, Burning Peace, Paige

Friday, November 7
8:00pm - 11:00pm
Courtney C. Patty, Slow Djinn Fez, Burning Peace

------------------

If you don't have your copy of the Burning Peace album "Over The Water" ... well, why the heck not? It's always available at our performances, there are copies for sale at Walden's, and as soon as the new order of discs arrives we'll be placing them at various local and online retailers. Due to increased production & distribution costs the price is likely to increase when the new copies are on the shelves... so, hey, get yours today while they're still only $10!

------------------

Now that summer is over it's time for me and Lisa and our friendly volunteers to focus on our big holiday party: H A L L O W E E N !!!

Ooooooooooooh, baby, it's gonna be good!

Johnny Cash died today. Long live the Man In Black!

Hey, we had a GREAT time at the Pig Rock caves last weekend! THANKS to everyone who made it possible!

As soon as I get photos back from people I'll add some to this website for everyone to peruse. I was so busy doing stuff I didn't get a chance to take any shots.

I can't wait for next time!
